Educator, Entertainer, and EntrepreneurAnto Lecky – Educator, Entertainer, and Entrepreneur, Dr. Munirat Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as “Anto”, born 12th of December, 1989, sprung to fame when becoming a semi-finalist on the 2018 season of Big Brother Naija. Born and raised in New Jersey, USA to Nigerian parents, before entering the Big Brother Naija house, she was the Head of Operations for the Continental Basketball League, the first private basketball league headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
Currently, she is an actress, model, host, influencer, educator, and humanitarian. She is the Project Lead, Arts and Special Projects at ElectHER, a non-partisan organization working to increase female representation in politics. She is also the program manager for the Kunle Afolayan Productions Film and Television Academy, where she handles the day to day operations of the Academy. She is the co-owner of the Anto Lecky X Taries Hair Builder luxury
haircare line, a management and marketing consulting company, Room 22 Agency, and a gifting and branding outlet, O’Compatriots Lifestyle Co. She serves as the Creative Director for Weldios University. She is the founder of The Live Wire Project, an NGO focused on making a difference one person at a time, with its major campaigns “Edo Babes are Fly” that promotes girl child education, empowerment and skills acquisition to reduce the rate of gender-based violence and sex trafficking in Edo State and “Arise N Vote”, an influencer-led campaign encouraging Nigerians to register to vote.
She serves as an INEC youth ambassador, encouraging young Nigerians to register for and participate in safe, voting exercises. She co-hosted a podcast series where she interviewed individuals running for public office in Lagos State and plans to expand it to television and persons running for office around the country.
Her professional expertise is in management, marketing, operations, and sponsorship. Her passions include natural and healthy lifestyle, sports, education, good governance, and the girl child and women’s affairs.
She graduated from the 5th best public university in the US, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, with a Bachelors of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science, Sport Administration track. She then went on to the University of Central Florida’s DeVos Sport Business Management program, SportBusiness International’s #1 best sport masters program in the world, to graduate with both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Business Management. In 2016, she was awarded a Nigerian Meritorious Award for Excellence in Sport. Since her experience on the Big Brother Naija show, she has received the 2018 BTDT Hub Education Advocacy Award. In 2018, she was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from ISCOM University, Benin Republic. In 2018, she also received the Miss Tertiary Institution Pageant South-South Award of Honour.
