
Jennifer Ukoh-Osamwonyi
Public Relations Manager at Showmax NigeriaJennifer Ukoh-Osamwonyi is the Public Relations Manager at Showmax, the subscription video-on-demand service under the Connected Video arm of the MultiChoice Group. She is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of the PR and content marketing activities for the Showmax brand in Nigeria. Prior to joining Showmax, she was the PR lead for the hugely successful reality TV show, Big Brother Naija for six seasons, the premium continental TV and film awards, Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, and other key projects at DStv and GOtv.
Jennifer specializes in corporate communications, media relations, content strategy, digital marketing and brand management. She is passionate about crafting compelling narratives that effectively build brand equity and credibility, ultimately creating Top of Mind Awareness and goodwill for discerning brands. Amongst other skills, her in-depth experience with issues and crises management continues to distinguish her in various capacities.
A graduate of Microbiology from the University of Lagos, she also holds a professional Diploma in Marketing Communications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Jennifer’s impact in the Nigerian Marketing and Communications industry has not gone unnoticed. In 2021, one of Nigeria’s leading and consistent brands and marketing publication, Brand Communicator, listed her as one of the 40Under40 women whose contributions have led to the growth of the Integrated Marketing Communications industry in Nigeria and awarded her Public Relations Manager of the Year (pay-TV). She also received the award for Outstanding PR Personality Of The Year by Marketing Edge, another leading brands and marketing publication. In 2022, she was listed as part of Top 100 Career Women In Nigeria by 9to5Chick, a career development hub for African women.
Outside her professional role, Jennifer is committed to the advancement of gender equality especially in the workplace. She is also invested in helping young talents find their voice through mentoring, with the hopes that they maximize their potentials.
